"Ladies and Gentlemen
This is your Captain speaking..!

We’re off on a plane, on a mystery flight
Where we never quite know where we will alight!
Off into Europe? Far-away shores?
We won’t know for certain ‘til we open the door.
So help your old Captain, by making a guess.
I’ll give you some clues – then you do the rest!

This first country’s famed for its black and white beer
That flows with the jokes and the welcoming cheer.
Famed for its horses, for music and dance
And for holding wild celeidhs when given the chance.
It’s a land that is blessed with the gift of the smile;
A place that is praised as the Emerald Isle

Where are we today?

This next country is known for its wonderful food;
For wining and dining, for making the mood.
Famous for pizza and spag. bolognaise
for footballing passion and long, sleepy days.
Shaped like a boot; with a heel and a toe,
It is a land where the grapes are happy to grow.

Where are we today?

This next country is loved for its holiday fun;
For sand and sangria, and a place in the sun.
A land in the main not noted for rain
Except for those drops that plop on the plain.
Where bull-fighting blokes strutting to play
Bow to a crowd that’s shouting - "Olé!"

Where are we today?

This last country, you know, is certainly Great.
It likes to put fish and some chips on its plate.
It likes to drink tea or go down the pub
Or spend many hours asleep in the tub.
It is blessed by a Queen (who is never called Liz)
This country is special. It is really the biz.

Where are we today?
