I have a place.
My own special space.
Where I can always go and play
At any time of day.
I have a place,
A very safe space.
That’s filled up with dreams
And lots of happy things….
Like….
The cold tickle-trickle of a stream; cooling toes
And the wicked waft of coffee, that goes sneaking up your nose.
Like the wink from an Aunt as she’s telling naughty jokes
and the whipple-whap of wind in the rigging of a boat.
Like the roar from the pub when England finally score
And a dad-da from a baby as you come home through the door.
Like the walkie-waggy-woof of a puppy on a string
And the ooh-eeh-ooh-eeh-swwoop of a tummy on a swing.
I have a place.
My own special space.
It always makes me glad
Whenever I feel sad.
Do you have a place
To put a smile on your face?
