A poem is a school chocked full of sounds.
A poem is a day when splodge-ness abounds.

A poem is a radio tuned to your dreams,
A poem is a party with endless ice creams.

A poem is a telescope; words for a lens.
A poem is the cluck of an old speckled hen.

A poem is a car that’s made out of jelly.
A poem is a puddle, and a pair of good wellies.

A poem is a gift, or a much favoured thing.
A poem is a word - like zip, wibble, ping.

A poem’s an accident where no one’s to blame.
A poem is the pride you have in your name.

A poem is a voyage, a trip to the zoo.
A poem is my ears listening to you.
